雷莉，女，博士，教授、博士生导师，副院长。教育部学位中心博士学位论文评审专家，国家社科基金同行评审和鉴定专家，国家留学基金委中外高水平大学联合培养博士研究生项目的评审专家，四川省学术和技术带头人，四川省侨联特聘专家，四川省语言学会副会长。多次被教育部派往国外任教和工作（8年），曾担任美国犹他大学孔子学院中方院长4年。

研究方向主要为国际中文教育、现代信息技术应用于语言教学，发表了《教育中文化多样性治理：三种北美理论模式》、《孔子学院发展的新思路——慕课（MOOCs）教学模式的应用》、《中美两国对外语言教学的比较与思考》等论文50余篇，主持了《对外汉语教学与边远藏区少数民族汉语教学的比较研究》、《基于大数据的“一带一路”沿线十国汉语言文化推广研究》国家社科基金2项，9项省、部级课题，其他课题10项，参与15个国家、省部级及其他各类课题，出版专著5部，主编留学生教材和教辅6部，主编汉语类学习词典5部。每年主持调研课题1-3项，多次获四川省社会科学优秀成果奖、四川省政务调研课题优秀奖、国家民委社会科学优秀成果奖。主持建设了省级一流课程《汉语成语和俗语》和省级教改项目等。

Dr. Lei Li is a professor, doctoral supervisor of Sichuan University, and Deputy Dean of the School of Overseas Education. She is a doctoral dissertation evaluation expert of the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, peer review and identification expert of the National Social Science Fund of China, review expert of the joint cultivation of doctoral candidate program of Chinese and foreign high-level universities by the China Scholarship Council. Ms. Lei is a leader in academy and technique of Sichuan Province, distinguished expert in Sichuan Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, Vice President of Chinese Linguistics Society of Sichuan Province. She has been dispatched by the Ministry of Education to teach and work abroad many times for 8 years. Also, she has been served as the Dean of the Confucius Institute at the University of Utah for 4 years.

Ms. Lei’s research focuses on international Chinese language education and the application of modern information technology to language teaching. She has published over 50 papers, such as "the Governance of Cultural Diversity in Education-Three Theoretical Models of North America", "New Ideas for the Development of Confucius Institutes-Application of MOOCs Teaching Pattern" and "AComparative Study of Foreign Language Instruction in China and the U.S". She presided over two projects of the National Social Science Fund of China. They are "A Comparative Study of Chinese Teaching of Tibetan Nationality in Remote Regions and Chinese Teaching as a Foreign Language" and "A Research Based on Big Data about Chinese Language and Culture Popularization in Ten Countries along the Belt and Road Initiative". She also presided over 5 provincial and ministerial-level projects and participated in 15 national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects. She has published 5 monographs, edited 6 textbooks and reference books for international students, and 5 Chinese learning dictionaries. She leads 1-3 research projects every year. She has won the Sichuan Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, the Sichuan Provincial Government Affairs Research Project Excellence Award, and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission's Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award many times. What’s more, she led the construction of the provincial first-class course "Chinese Idioms" and the provincial education reform projects.
